“Strong people stand up for themselves, but stronger people stand up for others”.
Life has been very unfair to Ashley and David Kalchbrenner over the past year and half. They went from planning their dream wedding to a life full of countless doctor appointments and ER visits. Ashley was diagnosed with a variety of serious and very painful medical conditions, including a connective tissue disorder, a tethered spinal cord, chiari malformation, orthopedic complications, pulmonary and vascular abnormalities, and additional issues related to those listed above. Ashley will undergo neurosurgery to release her tethered cord in May.
What Ashley and David are going through is unimaginable and we know it pains their ...family and friends to see something like this happen to such amazing people. As high school sweethearts, they have been through many ups and downs over the years, but nothing compares to this challenge. They have seen many physicians throughout the Midwest and have to travel as far as Rhode Island for the appropriate care. Although many specialists are covered by their insurance, some of them that Ashley needs to see are not. Traveling to see the most qualified physicians has become necessary and an added expense. Their medical bills continue to add up and have placed a significant financial strain on them. That is where we come in.
Can You Dig It? We will be hosting a volleyball tournament for Ashley and David on June 2nd at Libby Montana Bar & Grill and are inviting all to participate! All proceeds will go directly to Ashley and David and will be applied to Ashley’s medical expenses and continued care. The first step is to recruit all your (tall) friends and the final step is to SIGN UP!
