The Milwaukee PATCH Program is hosting a PATCH for Providers Cultural Competency Summit and YOU are invited!
Join PATCH Teen Educators and Escuela Verde Students as they lead workshops and discussions on enhancing the cultural inclusivity in healthcare environments. As a result of attending this summit, participants will…
— Examine critically how cultual world views influence perceptions of power, dominance and inequality
— Understand that there is an aggregated impact when different identities intersect
— Understand and utilize strategies and resources to instill cultural competency as a life-long learning process.
This event is open to anyone providing care to adolescents including doctors, physicians as...sistants, nurse practitioners, midwives, pharmacists, psychologists, social works, and others. We also recognize that health care support staff play an important role in the experience of teenage patients, and invite any clinic staff interested in improving the quality of healthcare for adolescents to join us.
