Get some sun on your face and dirt on your fingers. Reserve your spot and volunteer for an afternoon at The Farm! Hunger Task Force operates a 200 year old historic farm in Franklin. Each year, during the growing season they grow and harvest hundreds of thousands of pounds of fresh vegetables and fruit — all of which is donated FREE to local food pantries, homeless shelters and soup kitchens in Milwaukee.

The work is not possible without the help of hundreds of farm volunteers each year. Activities CAN include preparing new plants in the greenhouse, planting and harvesting fresh produce, fish hatchery work, and more!

Please keep in mind the following:


Rain or shine!
Dress appropriately for working outdoors ...according to the day's weather forecast. Layers are recommended, as is clothing that allows maximum flexibility.
A hat is highly recommended when working outdoors.
Activities will involve a lot of bending and stretching, must be in good physical condition.
No open toed shoes or sandals are allowed.
Bring along portable water bottle that you can carry along.
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. An adult chaperone must accompany anyone between 12-15 years of age. Chaperones must also fill out a volunteer application.




Light refreshments will be provided by Outpost! Carpool if you can!

Exit on to Ryan Road
Continue 3 miles west to S. 68th Street
Turn right on S. 68th Street
The Farm is located at 9000 S. 68th Street

From the South


Take I-94 W to Ryan Road exit
Continue 3 miles west to S. 68th Street
Turn right on S. 68th Street

From the West


Take 894 to 84th/76th Street exit
Take 76th Street to Puetz Road
Turn left on Puetz Road
Take a right on 68th Street
