This year, HSA brings in one of the many rising Hmong singers, Hayengchi Her from Detriot, Michigan. He is known for his top hit, Ua Tus Ntawm Koj Ib Sab. One interesting fact about Hayenchi is that he is in a band and that he has been playing the bass guitar for more than 10 years!!! Not just that, Hayengchi's second album will be coming out this year!
What does, «Sib hlub sib pab,» exactly mean? Is it just an overused, exaggerated phrase? Or does it have any meaning and/or dedication towards it? This year, HSA presents the play: «Save Me» to demonstrate this meaning.
