Frank Zeidler Center for Public Discussion
631 N 19th St, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53233
Join fellow community members in discussing racial identity and whiteness. What does it mean to be white? How can we «interrogate» whiteness?
The evening will begin with an introduction by Martha Barry of the YWCA and «Unlearning Racism» course instructor.
Then we will hear true, personal stories from Ex Fabula fellows, community members who have worked with storytelling coaches to craft personal stories about race, privilege and oppression. Finally, share your own observations in small group listening circles directed by Zeidler Center facilitators.
This is a free event but registration is requested so we have enough facilitators on hand!
Location: Zeidler Center for Public Discussion (located inside Redeemer Lutheran at 631 N. 19th St., Milwaukee)
Date/Time: Tuesday, Feb. 13th, 6:00pm-8:30pm
Part of the Fellows and Facilitators Series, a partnership between Zeidler Center and Ex Fabula, this event continues the dialogue on race and segregation in the Greater Milwaukee area.
