A FREE reading to celebrate the publication of Caitlin Scarano's debut poetry collection, Do Not Bring Him Water (Write Bloody Publishing).

Caitlin Scarano is a poet in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee PhD creative writing program. Her debut collection of poems, Do Not Bring Him Water, was recently published by Write Bloody Publishing, and she is the author of two chapbooks: The White Dog Year (dancing girl press, 2015) and The Salt and Shadow Coiled (Zoo Cake Press, 2015). Her recent work can be found in Granta, Crazyhorse, and Ninth Letter.

Paula Carter is the author of the forthcoming essay collection No Relation (Black Lawrence Press, 2017). Her work hasappeared in Kenyon Review, The Southern Review, Salon, TriQuarterly, and Prairie Schooner. As a professional freelance writer she has contributed to publications such as Writer’s Digest, Creative Nonfiction, Chicago Magazine, and Harvard Gazette. Based in Chicago, she is a part of the nonfiction storytelling scene and has performed with The Moth, This Much is True, and 2nd Story, where she is a company member. She is the editorial manager of the digital magazine INTER and holds an M.F.A. in fiction from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Freesia McKee is a working poet whose words have appeared in Painted Bride Quarterly, Gertrude, Argot Magazine, Burdock, and Sundress Press’s Political Punchanthology. She is author of the chapbooks For the Immediate Aftermath and Instead and co-editor, with Anja Notanja Sieger, of Permeable to the Year: An Anthology of Subtle Forces. She is currently studying poetry at Florida International University.

Annie Grizzle is a multimedia artist interested in the nonsensical intersection between the mappable and the abstract. Her aim is not to control a medium, but to create a disorienting space in which to discover and test its limits.
