Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, Inc./Mexican Fiesta presents the Fiesta Run & Walk 2017
Milwaukee, Wisconsin – The Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, Inc. /Mexican Fiesta is honored to present the Fiesta Run and Walk on Sunday, August 27th, 2017. This event was created to maximize public awareness of the devastating effects of obesity, diabetes, heart attack and stroke, especially in our state’s fastest growing community. Through this event, we want to encourage positive prevention strategies that will enable families to lead a significantly better, healthy life style.
The Run & Walk will start and finish at the Lake Shore Park (200 N. Harbor Dr. Milwaukee, WI 53202). Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. and Run & Walk to begin at 9:30 a.m., rain or shine. Single registration is $10, a group of four people is $35 and a team of twenty people is $120. Kids under 8 years old participate for free. Paid registration package includes One Fiesta Run & Walk t-shirt, Free admission to Mexican Fiesta (Sunday AUG. 27 ONLY from noon to 3:00 pm), One coupon for Two Free Admissions to 7 Mile Fair and One coupon for a Healthy Snack at McDonald’s. The run will be led by Ramona Villarreal | Ironman 70.3 World Athlete.
The distance for the walkers is 3 laps and 5 laps for the runners. This event is designed for the whole family to enjoy! All Fiesta Run & Walk participants must enter through Mid Gate of the Summerfest grounds, the gate will be opened from 8:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
