This fully clothed therapy is performed on a massage table or reclining chair. Registrants will obtain knowledge of the history and theory of Reflexology. The Registrant shall demonstrate proficiency in performing a 60 minute foot and hand reflexology routine with the recipient in the supine position. The student shall perform the acupressure techniques using thumb presses, finger circles, knuckles and palm pressing while locating and working the reflex points corresponding to all major organs, glands, parts of the body and chakras. Registrants will be instructed on contraindications and effectively demonstrate how to adjust the reflexology accordingly. Participants shall be able to identify and describe the zones, reflex areas and reflex points corresponding to all major organs, glands and part of the body along with an understanding of anatomy and physiology. Participants will be able to describe observations and evaluations of the foot. The student shall engage in writing professional S.O.A.P notes with an understanding of standards of practices.
This is a 2 day class from 9 a.m. — 5 p.m. The cost of this workshop is $250. which will include a booklet on the concepts & techniques. Each registrant will give and receive a foot and hand reflexology as students practice on one another. You will also receive a certificate upon completion of this class.
