Rally & March at the Milwaukee County Courthouse on Tax Day
This march isn't just about papers – it's about transparency and social justice.
Donald Trump is the first office holder to refuse to release his tax returns to the public, since it became normal and expected in half a century. We march to demand that he release his returns, as he has repeatedly promised, but failed, to do.
We march because it is in the best interest of the American people to know what financial entanglements and conflicts of interest our leaders have. Because we need to know if Trump and his family are personally profiting from the policies and practices of the administration.
We march because we will not stand by while the rich and the powerful govern this country guided only by their personal best interests, and not the best interests of the American people as a whole.
WE DEMAND TRANSPARENCY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE!
This is one of many direct actions taking place across the country. Our event will kick off at 11AM on the South lawn of the Milwaukee County Courthouse. There will be a number of guest speakers, followed by a sidewalk march. The march will go from 9th Street to Wisconsin Avenue, then down to Water Street. From Water Street, it will march down to Wells Street and back to the County Court House. In the case of poor weather, the route will be abbreviated.
